The Lord's Supper
I. It is an ordinance of the local church, instituted on the night of Christ's arrest - Luke 22:19-20; Mark 14:22; Matthew 26:26-29.
II. It is to be done in remembrance of his death, and is purely symbolic the Lord's body and blood Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians 11:23-26.
III. It is to be done to shew the Lord's Death until He returns - I Corinthians 11:26.
IV. It is a symbol of our fellowship with his body - I Corinthians 10:16-17.
V. The partaking of it requires our devotion to Christ and to him alone - I Corinthians 10:21.
VI. The partaking of it requires one to examine self, lest he bring upon himself harm!- I Corinthians 11:27-30.
VII. It is to done as often as the local assembly(church) deems necessary, as led by the Holy Spirit ; I Corinthians 11:26
